Every summer, D&S hosts a Cruise-In to benefit UH Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital. Like many events in 2020, the car show was cancelled due to safety concerns regarding COVID-19. Despite not having the show, we were still determined to raise money for the Hospital.

While this year looked a little different, D&S hosted a week long online raffle with generously donated items from several local businesses. With 40 items in total, the raffle included prizes ranging from a custom-painted tool box, gift certificates, golf passes, automotive services and many more! Between the raffle and other generous donations made by customers, car show registrants, and friends of D&S, a little over $5,000 was raised for UH Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital. With D&S Automotive’s match, we are thrilled and humbled to donate $10,500 to UH Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital this year.

D&S’ President, CJ Paterniti, has been an avid supporter of the UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital ever since the hospital provided long-term care to his newborn daughter. The Rainbow Babies doctors’ and nurses’ relentless dedication and excellent care brought peace of mind to CJ and his family; that same dedication and care is also what brought his daughter home, happy and healthy. If you ask anyone in Northeast Ohio, it is likely that they either have been a Rainbow Babies patient themselves or have a family member who was.

Thank you to all who participated in our virtual raffle and to those individuals and companies that donated money for the cause. We are so happy that we were able to continue to support the Hospital even through the pandemic we are currently facing.
